Book design on the chapter Sirens from James Joyce’s Ulysses.
Since the structure of the text mirrors an opera overture, the book visualizes the musicality through typography design. The form of the book is a music sheet which can be feed into a hand crank musical box. A variety of musical passages are manually punched on top of the printed text.
